Welcome to my new blog!

A path through fall foliage with a garden lamp

Introduction:

This is my first post on my new blog. I've been blogging for decades, but this is a new blog for me! I'm still trying to get used to this platform, so please be patient as I explore and I endeavor to figure it out. I'm hoping to launch this blog for real on New Year's Day.

Once I get this figured out, I will post my social media posts here, for people who prefer blogs to Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, and so on. And I'll probably go a little bit deeper here. I try to keep my social media posts down to 2200 characters including spaces because that's the requirement for IG, which has the shortest requirements of all the platforms that I currently use. But sometimes that too short, sometimes I have more that I want to say. So I can expand on those things here!

My name is Amy Stewart-Cooper, I'm the owner of Life Enhancement Coaching. I am exploring the intersection of life coaching with martial arts and self-defense soft-skills because it's an amazingly powerful combination. Really good soft-skills are very life coachy, and really good life coaching makes you safer because the best thing you can do for your self-defense is becoming your favorite self because that makes you more difficult to manipulate. I don't require my clients to train in the martial arts or take a self-defense class, but if you ask me I will absolutely encourage you to do so.

I'm a Certified Personal Coach, graduated from Thriving Coach Academy which is an ICF accredited program. I am also an Endorsed Colleague of 500 Rising. I also have a black belt in Okinawan Kenpo and Kobudo. And I used own and operate a popular fine dining Italian restaurant.
