Negativity Bias--You're Not Broken

February 21, 20251 min read

Your brain is designed for survival, not necessarily for happiness.

Negativity Bias exists to keep you alive. It scans for danger, remembers mistakes, and makes sure you don’t repeat them.

However, it can backfire by spiraling out of control.

Try this: thank your survival instincts.

“Thank you, Negativity Bias, for looking out for me. I’ve got this under control now, so you can rest.”

Fear was built for survival. Intuition was built for wisdom. As children we were socialized to silence our intuition so we would fit in. Now, we recognize intuition for what it is—a superpower.

Want to stop overthinking every decision? Rebuild trust in your intuition. Make choices with confidence.
